Quality Inspection & Factory Audit in China

China-side quality control support

Inspect products and factories before payment or shipment

Check the factory, sample, production status, product, packaging and shipment evidence before you release the next payment or allow goods to leave China.

Direct answer

What can be checked?

ChinaManufactories can coordinate supplier and factory checks, sample reviews, production follow-up, on-demand product inspection, packaging and label checks, loading or shipment evidence and corrective-action follow-up. The exact checklist, sample size, timing, location, inspector and acceptance decision are confirmed in writing for each project.

Factory verification & audit

Confirm the site, operating identity, production role, visible capability and documents relevant to the agreed scope before relying on supplier claims.

Sample & pre-production check

Compare the sample, specification, materials, dimensions, functions, accessories, branding and packaging before mass production starts.

During-production follow-up

Review agreed production milestones, visible progress, open deviations and the evidence required before the order moves forward.

Pre-shipment inspection

Check selected units or an agreed quantity against the approved specification, packaging requirements and documented acceptance points.

100% or piece-by-piece checking

When appropriate and agreed in advance, coordinate full-unit checking, sorting or rework support instead of relying only on a sample.

Packaging, label & loading evidence

Confirm visible carton condition, quantities, labels, barcodes, accessories, packing method, carton data and handover evidence within scope.

Choose the right checkpoint

Inspection should happen before the decision it protects

Before supplier approval

Use a factory or supplier check when you need evidence about the business and production site before placing a meaningful order.

Before mass production

Lock the approved sample, specification, packaging and label files so the factory is not working from assumptions.

During production

Check progress and known risks while correction may still be possible, especially for custom products or first orders.

Before final payment

Review inspection evidence and unresolved exceptions before authorizing the agreed payment milestone.

Before shipment release

Confirm goods, cartons, quantities and required evidence before the shipment leaves the factory or China-side warehouse.

After a problem is found

Record affected units, evidence, proposed rework and the new release condition instead of accepting an informal promise.

What you receive

Evidence designed for a buyer decision

Agreed checklist

The current product specification and decision points used for the inspection—not a generic list unrelated to your order.

Photos, video and observations

Available evidence is organized around the agreed checks, with limitations and unverified points identified.

Quantity and exception record

Record what was presented, what was checked, which exceptions were observed and which questions remain open.

Release, hold or rework input

The report supports your decision. Final acceptance remains with the buyer or the party authorized in writing.

Corrective-action follow-up

When rework is agreed, document what the supplier says it changed and what evidence is required before reconsideration.

Shipment handover evidence

Where included, record carton condition, labels, counts, measurements and the handover point before goods move onward.

Important: an inspection reduces uncertainty but does not guarantee every unit, supplier performance, regulatory compliance or future sales. Lab testing, certification and specialist compliance work require separately confirmed providers and scope.

Name the decision that each check must support

Before arranging a check, identify the product point, the evidence needed and the decision owner. This keeps a photo or observation connected to a useful next step.

  • Question: which specification or packing point is still uncertain?
  • Evidence: what can be observed or measured within the agreed check?
  • Decision: who will approve, request correction or keep the item open?

If a point cannot be checked, record it as unverified rather than treating silence as acceptance.

If the immediate question concerns an unsatisfactory sample, the poor-sample correction and production-deposit checklist helps identify what evidence is still needed before the next payment decision.

Share your product, quantity, destination and business email. Mention the decision you need to make; detailed check requirements can follow.

Start with usable information

What to send for a quotation

  • Product link, photos or supplier contact.
  • Approved specification, sample or order requirements.
  • Order quantity, SKU count and production status.
  • Factory or warehouse address and supplier contact person.
  • The decision you need to make: approve supplier, start production, release payment, rework, hold or ship.
  • Required inspection date, destination country and any buyer-provided checklist.

We will confirm what can be checked, who is responsible, what evidence can be produced, exclusions, timing and price before work begins.

Frequently asked questions

Quality inspection and factory-audit questions

Can you inspect a supplier I found myself?

Yes. Send the supplier contact, product information, location and the decision you need the inspection to support.

Do you inspect every unit?

Only when piece-by-piece checking is practical and specifically agreed. Otherwise, the sampling method and presented quantity must be confirmed before the visit.

Can inspection guarantee compliance?

No. Product inspection, laboratory testing, certification and legal compliance are different scopes. Required standards and responsible specialist providers must be confirmed for the product and destination.

What happens if defects are found?

We document the observed exception and help coordinate supplier communication. Rework, replacement, compensation and shipment release remain subject to the agreed order terms and buyer approval.

Can you inspect packaging and FBA labels?

Yes, when the current buyer-provided packaging, label, barcode and carton requirements are included in the agreed checklist.
